Human Augmentation in Physical and Perceptual Interactions (HAPPI) Lab
The HAPPI Lab strives to foster an inclusive and diverse environment where innovation in haptics thrives. We are dedicated to advancing the science of touch by studying how humans perceive tactile sensations, designing optimized touch cues, and exploring the emotional and social impacts of touch. Our interdisciplinary research, spanning electrical and mechanical engineering, computer science, and material science, is driven by the belief that diverse perspectives lead to greater breakthroughs in human-centered haptics and real-world applications.
Professor Cara Nunez is the director of HAPPI Lab residing in Cornell University in the department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She is also field member within Systems Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as Biomedical Engineering.
